It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alan A. Waechter of Batesville, Indiana, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Anyone familiar with Edelweiss House knows that Allie was the Joseph of Edelweiss, as Sister Par called him.  His great dedication and efforts makes it possible for Edelweiss to continue helping families for over 2 decades.  He will be dearly missed as a friend and mentor.  A day won't go by when we don't ask "what would Allie do" because he would take on any problem, most especially with prayer. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home (151 W George St, Batesville, IN 47006). A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Louis Church (13 St Louis Pl, Batesville, IN 47006).
